The F.lli Fortuna group has been investigating strategies to reactivate empty and abandoned spaces. The research is focused on the appropriation of these sites by a local transient population who have subsequently utilised the structures. This intervention will consist of the reconstruction of the events that have happened since the chosen site was abandoned in the form of a narrative (part fact, part fiction). An audio-guided tour through the building will be structured, based on layers of narrative from the discarded site. The audience will be introduced to a shifting from a physical exploration of the building into a pseudo historical and poetical experience.

Beatrice Catanzaro, Margarita Vazquez Ponte and Matteo Ferrario are from different professional profiles. Beatrice Cantazaro after a degree at the Art Academy Brera, Milan, moved to Germany where she took a master degree in Public Art. Matteo Ferrario graduated in Economics at Bocconi Business School in Milan, Italy, with a specialization in industrial archeology and corporate museum management. Margarita Vazquez Ponte was nominated as finalist in Becks Futures (student film and video prize final shortlist). The work was presented at The ICA (London) and at the CCA (Glasgow). Project was implemented in abandoned commercial building in North Italy.

The group currently collaborates with Cittadellearte-Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella.
